| Presbyterian Women |
A warm welcome is extended to all women to participate
in the many activities of Presbyterian Women!
The Presbyterian Women's Purpose:
Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit we commit ourselves:
- to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
- to support the mission of the church worldwide
- to work for justice and peace, and
- to build an inclusive, caring community of women that
strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA)
and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
Presbyterian Women exist for the purpose of enabling the women in our Church to grow in their faith. We do this through Bible Study, missions and supporting one another. We learn how to use our God-given talents to serve the Lord.
Some of our activities include:
Salad Luncheon - We begin our year with a Salad Luncheon. Pastor Jim will
join us and introduce our Bible Study for the coming year. Our Ruth and Sarah
Circles meet once a month.
Et Ceteras - The Et Ceteras are a fun craft group. They make gifts from
Valentines to Christmas ornaments as well as other gifts to make people smile
and feel good.
Church Women United - We work closely with Church Women United and
their Clothes Closet. We also assemble hygiene bags and distribute them to
the needy.
Mission Fundraising - Our fundraiser is always exciting. We host an annual
luncheon/fashion show at Emerald Greens Country Club. We have a silent
auction combined with a vocal auction. The proceeds from our auctions go to
various missions we sponsor. With God's guidance we continue to support Beth-El
Farmworker Ministry. We also distribute food, clothing and toiletry items.
Prayer - We continually pray for those in need. We know God is with us and
encourages us to pray for others.
We would love to have you join us. Please call the Church Office (813-961-4115).
