Village is a community of Christians who by the authority and
power of Jesus Christ will meet the needs of all who come here.
It is a place where anyone can find the gifts of God's grace,
including love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness and guidance.
What We Believe
We are Faithful ˜ Orthodox ˜ and Reformed
We are a congregation that holds closely to traditional understandings of what it means to be a Christian body. We believe that the Bible is the only infallible or inerrant authority for the Christian faith (Sola Scriptura), and that it contains all knowledge necessary for salvation and holiness. Consequently Sola Scriptura demands that no doctine is to be admitted or confessed that is not found directly or logically within Scripture. However, Sola Scriptura is not a denial of other authorities governing Christian life and devotion. Rather, it simply demands that all authorities are subordinate to, and are to be corrected by, the written word of God. Sola Scriptura was a foundational doctrinal principle of the Protestant Reformation held by the Reformers and is a formal principle of Protestantism today. This belief and doctrine guides our life and worship together.
