Ministry Staff

Rev. James C. Yearsley, Senior Pastor

Pastor Jim is retired from the United States Air Force. He began his vocational ministry in the early 1990s as a community organizer and then as the Executive Director for South Hills Interfaith Ministries. In 1997 he was ordained a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA). After serving two churches as senior pastor in western Pennsylvania, he accepted the call as Senior Pastor at Village Presbyterian. Jim and Alice came to Village in 2006.


Worship and Music Staff

Brittany Bozeman, Minister of Music

Brittany Bozeman began her musical studies with piano lessons at the age of five. At age twelve she began her vocal studies. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in piano and vocal performance and a Master of Arts degree in music history. In addition to directing the Music Ministries at Village Presbyterian Church, she teaches piano and vocal lessons at Bigel Music and the Orlando School of Music.


Gary Wirsz, Organist

Gary is our longest-tenured staff member, having served as the organist since 1987. 

Gary holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organ Performance. 

He works as a M.I.S. advisor for Head's House of Music in Tampa.


Support Staff

Rev. Michelle Blume, Minister of Discipleship and Missions

Michelle is a graduate of Duke Divinity School (Master of Divinity) and The Stetson College of Law (Juris Doctorate).  Michelle has previously served in an urban ministry near Ybor City, and as an attorney for children in foster care.  


Sue Goldstein, Office Administrator

Sue began as church secretary at Village in 1996 and became office administrator in 2013.  

Sue has an Associates Degree from St. Petersburg Junior College.  She works part-time at the church and enjoys bowling, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

Monica Wilson, Community Food Pantry director

Monica began serving in the food pantry in 2010.  She was inspired to volunteer by one of her children after having witnessed a family in need that visited Village.  Monica majored in Business at the University of South Florida and spent over 10 years selling real estate in the Tampa Bay area.   She is married and she and her husband, Reggie, have four children.  In 2015, Monica became the Director of the Community Food Pantry at Village and is humbled how it continues to serve the needs of those hungry in our community.
